Community Groups

Are you looking for a speaker for your community group? Understanding Cancer can arrange a short 20 minute presentation on cancer research, with time at the end for questions. These talks are suitable for a range of groups; rurals, church groups, Rotary Club or Round table as well as cancer support charities.

Cost

There is no charge for these talks, although a contribution towards travelling expenses would be appreciated.

Please note, when we are running classes, there are some evenings when we are not available.

Schools

Avril can talk to your senior pupils about going to university and science as a career. Having been a student at, or employed by, five different universities she has a lot of experience of the good (and bad!) points of a university career. She currently works for the Open University, tutoring on a food science course.
