I’ve been meaning to write a blog post about pancreatic cancer for a long time. However, I don’t believe in reinventing the wheel! In this months “Science Update Blog” from Cancer Research UK there is an excellent post called “Why don’t researchers know what causes pancreatic cancer“. This article was posted on the 6th of August and covers everything I would put in a blog post (and more!). So if you want to know more about pancreatic cancer, please start by reading that article.
Obviously, Cancer Research UK are a charity, so they promote their own research into pancreatic cancer but there are other UK charities that are involved in pancreatic cancer research and support, the “Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund” raise money specifically to research pancreatic cancer. Another charity, Pancreatic Cancer UK have an online discussion forum. The Pancreatic Cancer UK website is very basic but does have a list of links to other organisations.
