Cafe Scientifique events run all over the world, including Aberdeen! They are short lectures with time for debate and discussion at the end.
The next talk ties in with TechFest 2009 and is given by Dr Wendy Marsden from the University of Edinburgh on “Need Enhancing? Future Health, Future Humans” it is on the 16th of September, in Waterstones at 7pm.
The October talk is by Dr Alexandra Johnstone, from the Rowett in Aberdeen called “Diet Matters”, on Wednesday the 14th of October, again at 7pm in Waterstones.
