Just a quick post, I recently reviewed a book for the Biochemical Society called “Anticancer Therapeutics” by Sotiris Missailidis. You can read the review online, on the Biochemist e-volution website. The book is very technical, it is about different therapies for treating cancer, a lot of the book is about the different chemotherapy drugs available and explains how they work, at a “cellular level” (i.e how the drugs affect individual cancer cells.) I think it would be most useful to doctors looking to understand more about the science behind the drugs, or at scientists working in the field who want to understand more about cancer treatment in general.

If that book is either a) too expensive or b) too technical, the author has also written another book called “The Cancer Clock”. Which looks like a good read.

Have you read any books on cancer science that you would like to recommend? Please leave a comment below. Thanks.
