This month sees the annual “Scotland Against Cancer” conference. It is held in Glasgow, which is a bit far to travel if you’re in the North-East but I thought it was worth mentioning. It’s held on Friday the 20th of March 2009.
The conference is organised by Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and has been running for seven years. What is the point of this conference? Well, it’s to bring together people working in the NHS, with people in Scottish government (the cross party group on cancer) and cancer support charities. There are 40 complementary places available to cancer support groups, you can find out more here.
The focus of the conference will be “Better Cancer Care: An Action Plan”. You can read more about the Scottish Executives public consultation on Cancer care in this post.
